  • Always obey warnings and cautions provided by local authorities. These notifications protect you from potential hazards, including accidents, waterlogging, landslides, or dangerous regions.
  • Avoid swimming in springs, as they can be dangerous due to powerful currents, changing depths, and concealed boulders.
    Swimming in these waters is not advisable.
  • Monsoon rains make roadways in Salalah slippery and dangerous. When driving on curving or steep inclines, exercise caution and ensure your vehicle’s tyres and brakes are in good condition to handle wet roads adequately.
  • Mosquito Bites: The monsoon season is generally associated with an increase in mosquitos. To be safe while visiting tourist attractions, use bug repellent and wear long sleeves and trousers.
  • Avoid turbulent seas: Monsoons can cause perilous conditions for swimming and boating. Avoid swimming during this time to prevent mishaps.
  • Khareef provides occasional rain and hazy conditions. Prepare by wearing waterproof clothing such as a rain jacket, an umbrella, and shoes. This will help you stay dry and comfortable while exploring the foggy sceneries and navigating possibly slippery terrain.
