For months, the stoppage of The Dubai Fountains’ dazzling night show has left visitors and residents in wonder as to why. The reason, a major technical upgrade and maintenance schedule, is also now confirmed by Emaar, the property developer. The Dubai Fountain is expected to be fully operational again on Wednesday, October 1. The upgrades are part of a larger project to ensure that Dubai’s famous places are meeting and exceeding world-class standards and providing a more vibrant visitor experience. With the long-awaited return of Dubai’s beloved attraction, the sunset will shine a new dawn on the city’s favourite water show.

What to Expect from the New and Improved Dubai Fountain

The hard work behind the scenes is much. We have temporarily drained the old artificial Burj Khalifa Lake to install brand new technology. The original fountain floor that cracked has been replaced with concrete and metal for better insulation of the water.

The systems will provide more vibrant choreography, more dramatic lighting, and better sound quality! You can expect the fountain shows to be more magical than ever, and we are using robots to move the water and operate the lights to make sure the response is perfect and the show will be better than ever! See the rebirth of one of the city’s greatest treasures to make sure the show will be hypnotic as ever.

Dubai Fountain Show Timings & The Best Time to Visit

Following its breathtaking comeback, The Dubai Fountain will resume its usual evening performance schedule that both visitors and residents know and love. The show will run daily every 30 minutes, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, giving everyone a fair chance to catch the show.

The evening is the best time to experience The Dubai Fountain. When the sun sets and the Dubai skyline lights up, the performance is an impressive and unforgettable experience. If you are looking for a little more relaxed experience with fewer crowds, the ideal time to catch the later performance is on a weekday and at the very early showing, around 6:00 PM. This is also the perfect time to enjoy the lovely golden hour scenery around Burj Lake.

Support for Local Businesses and Temporary Alternatives

In connection with the magnificent development work, Emaar installed 500 meters of state-of-the-art digital screens along the promenade surrounding The Dubai Mall and Souk Al Bahar. These screens were programmed with animated and impactful visual representations that kept the location active and vibrant during its closure.

Additionally, to help its tenants, Emaar announced the rent relief for 50 food and beverage outlets with terraces overlooking the fountain, to assist the impacted food and beverage outlet operators during a period of low footfall. This support for the operator community is a clear demonstration of the supportive and anticipatory community or business environment found in Dubai.
