It is helpful to plan out when you will visit the Burj Khalifa, as it is an iconic landmark because of special hours for the New Year’s holiday. Therefore, the hours will be adjusted on both December 31st and January 1st, and the adjustments will allow for efficient operation during the holiday period. The venue will be open early at 8am on Wednesday, 31st December 2025, but please be aware that it will close at 5pm. The last entry time is 4pm. Buy New Year’s Eve tickets well in advance because of the large expected crowds. Expect authorities to increase security personnel presence in Downtown Dubai that day.
The New Year will be celebrated on Thursday, January 1, 2026, when the stunning Burj Khalifa will be open to guests. While entrance to the site will officially begin at 9:00 AM, the Burj Khalifa will remain open for visitors until 7:30 PM on this date. This provides ample opportunity to experience the Burj Khalifa after the holiday break.
Beginning on Friday, January 2, 2026, the Burj Khalifa will return to its normal hours. The hourly structure between prime and non-prime times will allow visitors to find ways to save money when scheduling visits. It is essential to visit the Burj Khalifa’s official website regularly for updates to schedules and other important information that you should be aware of.
Non-prime hours are when tickets for the Burj Khalifa are available at the lowest prices. Visitors will generally encounter lower visitor volume at the Burj Khalifa during non-prime hours. Non-prime hours are scheduled from 8:00 AM until 3:30 PM, every day of the week. There is also a brief opportunity for visitors to enter the Burj Khalifa during non-prime hours in the evening, from 7:00 PM until the last entrance time for non-prime tickets at 7:30 PM. The Burj Khalifa offers views of the city of Dubai with fewer crowds during the non-prime hours.
The prime hours at the Burj Khalifa offer stunning sunset views, which are in high demand, resulting in a higher cost for prime-hour tickets. Prime hour days are available from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, with entry into the building only available until 6:30 PM. As demand for these tickets is high, we recommend booking weeks in advance to guarantee your reservations to see the sunset from the rooftop. It is an incredible view.
If you purchased an open-dated Burj Khalifa ticket, please contact us if your reserved time is during NON-PRIME hours. We will confirm availability and be happy to reserve a time for you. Even though you have an open-ended ticket, you must book your time slot as soon as possible, especially if you plan to visit during the busy holiday period. By making a reservation early, you will minimize the amount of time spent waiting.
Arrive at the ticket office at least 30 minutes prior to your reservation to allow for security checks and to queue with your group before going through security and boarding your elevator. Be aware that during busy seasons, the lines will be longer than usual, so bring as little luggage as possible to speed up the process. Please remember to bring your booking confirmation and the appropriate identification.
